Wow!
Holey moley, I can't believe it's almost been a year since I posted here. I had such high hopes of myself to keep an art blog going! I guess it's time to start afresh again? I guess I have been caught up with work and life that I've completely neglected this side of me! I have done a few pieces this year so far, so I should start posting about my work again! I have just completed a couple of commission pieces for a friend that I absoloutely HATED doing, but I am proud of how they have come out. When the resin has set I will take some decent photos of them. Way outside of my comfort levels (not my usual style), which I guess was the reason that I hated every second of painting them! It wasn't until I finished, stepped back and looked that I fully appreciated how much time and effort went into these bloody things! Will have to put the pictures up soon :)) Love!

Easter 2o11
Excuse the poor quality of photos, I only have a very short window of time while Jameson sleeps!
Well I got 'egg'cited, and decided to make the kids/friends some little easter 'baskets' filled with cheap eggs for easter. I think they turned out well, I spend quite a bit of time cutting them out (on the cricut) and then sticking them together. I think they look quite good! Hopefully the kiddos will like them.
Mmmmmm... pretty shiny foil colours...

Happy Birthday to Jake
Our friend's youngest baby turned one yesterday, so I made him birthday card. I really love the colours and how well they all came together in the end!

My Thirty Years Of Smiles Album
For my thirtieth birthday this year, I decided that instead of the normal photo montage that you would normally have, I decided to make a small scrapbook to pass around at my party. I picked up a GORGEOUS 8x8 gatefold album, and was wanting to do something special with it, so I thought of a collection of 'me' photos that I could really show. I decided on smiles. Thirty years of smiles. Cheesy I know! (you will have to forgive the dodgy photos, it was hard to photograph this album as it was so full!)
Look at that goodness just bursting at the seams!
It can't contain itself any longer! It's going to blow!!! ^_^ I couldn't resist covering up the front with that gorgeous paper!
Just a few snippets of pages...
It's such a unique album, with 5 pages on each side, which you open out whichever way you like... I just love how 'interactive' you can be with it depending on which way you fold it. I should get another one and be creative :P
This is the back of the album, I couldn't resist covering that too, as well as the two front insides!

Door Signs!
So I received a new Cricut cartridge the other day, and making a few animals I got inspired to make some door signs!
These were sooo fun to make, will definitely be making more of them! xxx

My Beautiful Family - Album Part II
One of the professional photos taken of Jameson when he was 10 months old :)
One of the very first photos I took with my new camera, Jameson was pretty young! I called it protective, and the photo of this layout doesn't do it justice. xxx
I do like the grittyness of this layout, the ripped paper really does it for me.
